New iPhone SE: what’s inside Apple’s budget smartphone

Apple has finally unveiled the new iPhone SE. This is one of the most inexpensive smartphones Apple has launched but can it be called a budget smartphone, it seems, only conditionally. A model with a modest 64 GB of memory costs almost INR 42,500. For 128 GB, you will have to pay about INR 47,800, and for 256 GB – INR 58,300.

Inside the new smartphone from Apple, they have returned the Home button – for everyone who missed it.

Processor from Apple 11 Pro

The new SE was presented with the A13 Bionic processor – this same which is in the latest iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. At Apple, this processor is called the fastest in the iPhone. Together with iOS 13, it really should make the smartphone work very fast and smooth, and at the same time give new opportunities for working with photos, videos, games, and augmented reality.

Powerful battery

iPhone SE can play videos for up to 13 hours. This is slightly less than the Xr, and significantly less than the capabilities of 11 and 11 Pro, but still the figure is impressive. A full charge of SE is definitely enough for a whole day of active use of the smartphone.

Like all recent iPhone models, the SE supports fast charging. When connected via an 18 W adapter, you can charge a smartphone from 0% to 50% in just half an hour.

One camera, but many possibilities

Only one camera in SE is a great option for those who have not liked the design of the latest iPhone. Even the flash in SE was moved to the right, but not left below, as in Xr.

Briefly about the possibilities. The iPhone SE’s camera is a 12MP wide-angle with an f / 1.8 aperture. Portrait mode is in place – the Neural Engine system and image signal processor are responsible for it. In theory, portraits should turn out no worse than in any other recent iPhone.

In portraits, you can change the degree of blurring the background and choose different effects of portrait lighting. The Smart HDR function detects the person’s face in the frame and adjusts the lighting so that the facial features and skin color look natural. It also manages a more detailed study of light and dark areas in the background of photographs.

The camera also supports 4K shooting at up to 60 frames per second. The QuickTake function allows you to quickly switch from taking photos on any of the cameras to video and not change the mode.

The features of the Camera and Photos apps in iOS 13 provide enough editing tools for photos and videos

Retina HD Display

You can see all your photos and videos on the 4.7-inch Retina HD display. The image should look as natural as possible thanks to True Tone technology: it adjusts the white balance on the screen to the surrounding light.

The other advantages of the Retina HD display remain unchanged: a wide color range, accurate color reproduction, video playback in HDR10 format.

Home Button

Surely there are iPhone fans who missed this button a lot. SE can be unlocked by fingerprint, and at the same time use this button for quick access to applications. In general, the functions of the button have not changed – this is the same old and beloved “Home” by many.

What else

iPhone SE is water resistant. Can withstand thirty-minute immersion to a depth of one meter. Not afraid of spilled coffee, juice, tea and even soda.

It supports the simultaneous connection of two pairs of Air Pods and two SIM cards – including eSIM, which is convenient to use abroad.
